Penguin Expedition is inspired by Macquarie Island, an Australian sub-Antarctic island which is home to a variety of penguin colonies including King and Gentoo Penguins.
The attraction is both exciting and educational – visitors will travel in a research raft through a rugged, sub-Antarctic environment surrounded by King and Gentoo Penguins amongst magical flurries of snow, whistling wind sound effects and the stunning southern lights. They will also learn about these inspiring creatures and supporting conservation efforts
Penguin Expedition is the world first-of-its kind penguin exhibit where guests can get up close and personal to a spectacular colony of King and Gentoo Penguins at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium.
A continuous chain of boats will carry guests on a journey along the river, through the heart of the colony.
Entrance to Penguin Expedition and all penguin trainer talks are included in the cost of general admission.
The Penguin Expedition Ride is currently scheduled to be open 10:30am-3:00pm daily**.
